External Antennas

Crisp Internet is an extremely unique internet service provider.  It is cutting edge in its use of cellular signal to deliver a robust internet service.  There are no credit checks or term contracts.  The one question we get a lot though, is this.  "What if I don't have good cell phone service where I want to use Crisp?"  

Crisp Internet has the unique ability to add an external antenna via a coax cable to the modem / router to increase the amount of cellular signal it receives from the provider.  This unique feature allows Crisp to deliver a number of very important benefits to our clients.  Where other cellular driven internet services cannot function, Crisp can.  

For our stationary clients, a Yagi or direction antenna can be used to deliver the absolute strongest signal possible.  It must be orientated toward the nearest cell tower to provide the best and most consistent service.  Once it is pointed, it should deliver years of reliable service. 

While most customers have no problem installing an external antenna system, we are working on a network of technicians that can be hired to install a Yagi antenna for the customer who cannot or chooses to not install the external antenna themselves. 

For our mobile customers, they have the option of using a Yagi antenna or an Omni-directional antenna.  An Omni antenna pulls in signal from all directions, but because of the circular nature, it does not have the range that a Yagi antenna does.  Its best use is in a mobile environment where pointing will change based on the customer location frequently.
